Hunters Well Check

Hunter turned 4 in July so I'm obviously behind on Dr appts because we just went to his well check appt today. He had to get 3 shots so he was a little nervous but everything went great. I thought it was so cute that he's old enough now that they take his blood pressure & checked his eyes. It was adorable to watch & thankfully he's very healthy & still in the 60 percentile for height & weight.
Since we were there we got Blake his flu shot & another one he was due for. Both boys were not thrilled but got over it quickly. Last week I got my tetanus & flu shot as well in preparation of our little mans arrival. All that's left is Billy so we'll keep nagging him :)

30 weeks and counting!

Well, I'm 30 weeks along now and actually feeling pretty good for the most part. As usual, my pregnancies are never what I would consider "easy" but I'm hanging in there and trying to enjoy it. Our little man is constantly kicking away and seems to be growing like crazy from the looks of my belly. I have a feeling the next 10 weeks are going to fly by with all the holidays coming up so we have really been trying to clean house and make room for the little guy. Unlike Hunter and Blake, I won't have any adorable nursery pictures to post :( Our house that once seemed so big is shrinking as our family continues to grow, so the baby will sleep in our room in the co-sleeper until Blake makes his transition from his crib to a twin bed. Hunters room is now set up with two twin beds and looks really cute but we still have Blake in his own room in a crib. He just sleeps so wonderful that I'm not ready to mess with a good thing, especially since I know my nights will soon belong to baby #3. I'm hoping that Blake can stay in his crib sleeping peacefully all night until I can get our new little guy on some sort of a sleep routine, but we'll see how it goes. I ordered a new dresser/changing table for the baby so that should be arriving soon. I'm excited for that so I can get all the precious baby clothes washed and ready. That's always fun! Hunter and Blake are still very excited but Hunter won't even discuss the possibility of names. He insists that his name will be "Baby" and that's it! He gets very angry if we make a suggestion. Its pretty funny now but hopefully he gets over it in the next 10 weeks! :) For now, they both talk to the baby and kiss my belly constantly. I'll try to post some pictures soon, I broke my camera so I'm working on getting it fixed soon. I have been using my iPhone but its not the same as a good old camera! :)

Happy Birthday Blake!!!

Today Blake turns 2 and I can't help but be emotional about it. Maybe its the hormones from being pregnant, maybe its just that time flies by to fast, but I look at our sweet, amazing little boy and can't help but feel like I want him to stay little forever. This morning he did what he always does, he called me from his bed and told me he was awake. When I walked into his room he put his arms around me and asked me to go sit on the couch and snuggle with him. He always wakes up before Hunter so we usually have about 30 minutes to snuggle just him and I. I cherish everything about this time, the way he tucks his arms under mine and softly pinches my skin as if it comforts him, the way his breath smells really bad and he giggles when I tell him how stinky it is, the way he asks so politely if he can watch a cartoon and always has a very specific Ninja Turtle episode in mind. He's just to cute at this age!
Yesterday we celebrated his birthday with a small party at our house, just a few of his closest buddies. I'll post pictures later today of all the excitement. Since today is his actual birthday, tonight we will have dinner just the four of us and open his presents. I can't wait to go home and celebrate our little dude as a family!
