6 Months already

Hunter had his 6 month Dr appt on Friday. He now weighs 20.12 lbs and is 29". The Dr said he is in the 100 percentile. We told her that he is still waking up every 2-3 hours, (this started suddenly at 4 months) but other than that he is perfect and so much fun! She suggested that we feed him alot more baby food and to start him on stage 2 & 3 foods. We had him on stage one twice a day but due to his size she suggested that he may not be eating enough during the day to keep him sleeping all night. So now we are feeding him solids 3 times a day as well as his bottles to see if it helps. So far, he loves eating more but still wakes up! :)

3rd post in one evening :)

Tomorrow we have Hunters 6 month check up so I will post his weight and height then but as you can tell by looking at him he is growing like a weed! He is just an absolute in our lives. Everyday he is doing something new.
This week he is sitting up, rolling around everywhere, grabbing everything in sight and he loves to eat. He has tasted all of the first foods and loves everyone one of them. Now that we know he doesn't have any allergies we are able to mix it up a little. He usually gets some oatmeal and fruit in the morning and some vegtables at night. We only feed him solids twice a day because our doctor wants formula to remain his primary source of nutrition but if it were up to him he would eat everything in sight. Its gotten to the point where I feel bad eating in front of him because he stops what he's doing, stares at us and grabs for our food.

He hasn't started crawling yet but he sure tries hard. I am so excited for the first time he crawls but I can honestly say we are just enjoying exactly where he is right now.

Baby Shower

Saturday we had a baby shower at our house for Robbie. Soon she will have another little girl and we could not be more excited to meet her. Here are some pictures of the day, love you Rob!

Camp Nonnie Papa! :)

Last week Hunter spent a few afternoons with Nonnie & Papa (Dennis & Danita). Here are some of the pictures they took. I'm with him everyday and I was shocked at how much older he looks in these photos. Time sure does fly by!

Monday

On Monday we got the scary call that Cousin Noelle was in a car accident. Thankfully, she is OK but it was a pretty scary day for everyone! Since her sister Robbie wanted to be with her at the hospital we got the pleasure of watching her daughter Shelby for the day. We had a great time going to lunch, doing a little shopping and then home to get in our jammies and play games. Here are some pictures of Hunter and Shelby, they were so cute together!

Once Hunter went down for his nap I somehow convinced Shelby to do the dishes with me. We took turns washing and rinsing, it was so funny!

Loving his Bouncer!

Sleeping habits have officially changed

Well the king of the house has decided that he will no longer sleep in his own bed. Despite our continuous attempts to keep him in his crib he absolutely refuses. He did so well up until he was about 4 months and then flat out stopped. We honestly tried everything and have come to the conclusion that he just wants to sleep with us and gave in. He is such a good baby in every way so if sleeping is the toughest thing we have to deal with, we are pretty lucky.
Here are some pictures of all the places he has no problem sleeping, you will notice there are none in his crib. That's where he does all his crying or laughing at us! :)

In bed with Dad

6:30am, once I was up and drinking my coffee he felt pretty good about going to sleep again on the couch. I think he just wants to make sure I am not slacking. HAHA

Nap time, he won't wake up in my arms while I pull out the blankets and pillows and make a bed in the middle of the day, but he will wake up if I set him in his crib quietly. I don't quite understand.

Another nap, he has a rough life :)

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

Sadly we all got sick on New Years Eve so we missed going to Grandmas and banging pots and pans on the porch with all the other kids. This is a long running tradition in my family which is always hilarious!
Instead Billy, Hunter and I stayed home and celebrated on New York Time and toasted the new year with cupcakes and sparkling cider for Billy and I and a bottle for the little guy. It was perfect! We can't wait for all the 2010 milestones!

When Hunter was born we called him our little bird because when he would get hungry he would open his mouth and thrash his head around looking for food. Eventually he stopped doing it and we forgot about it. Now that he is tasting new foods and loving them, our little bird is back!!

So far, he has eaten 3 types of oatmeal, peas, green beans, carrots and sweet potatoes. He loves them all as long as Billy is feeding him......for some reason he still does not like to eat with me as much as dad. Like I said before, he is the king of the household now! :)

Christmas Time!

We started off two days before Christmas with Nonnie and Papa's annual Christmas Party. It was a fantastic party as usual and Hunter got to meet so many friends and relatives that had been waiting to meet him.

We spent Christmas Eve at the compound with Grandma Cathy & family. Hunter went to Christmas Mass for the first time and was extremely good. I think he loved all the Christmas songs like his mom! :)

Christmas Day! We woke up and opened presents just the three of us. Dad got a video of Hunter and I coming into the living room to see what Santa had brought. It was so fun watching him rip open his presents and loving the wrapping paper the most.

Around 10am we went to San Jose to spend Christmas Day at Grandma & Grandpas house. It was so relaxing and awesome to visit with the family. We had an amazing day!
