The adventure of registering!

Billy and I have been talking about registering for our baby for quite sometime now. Although it seems so early, we have had several inquiries so we thought we would start the process and see how it goes. Being that we don't know whether we are having a boy or a girl yet we decided that I would go with a friend (a mom who knows what she is doing) and get everything picked out that I could and next month when we find out the sex of the baby, Billy and I would go back and complete the registry.
So today I headed off to Baby's R Us to see what I could do and I have to say, I felt like an intruder. It was like entering another world that I really had no clue about. As exciting as it was, I was forced to come to terms with some things about myself. I truly enjoyed looking at the baby furniture, strollers, carriers, blankets, etc...but I really don't like all the bright silly baby toys. Now I realize this probably sounds ridiculous and awful and I'm sure I will love them when our baby does but for now, they just seem like things to trip over and that will clutter up our house.
Luckily we did get a lot done and I left feeling really great about the day. I am so excited to take Billy back and finish our registry with all the beautiful gender specific items.

I can honestly say now that I finally feel pregnant and I truley cannot wait to see our precious little baby. Billy has taken very nicely to having little talks with the baby as he says tucks us in every night. I can't help but feel so lucky to have our family.

New baby pictures

These are the latest pictures we recieved yesterday of our little peanut. The images are hard to see but the top two photos are the profile, the bottom left is just a close up of the arm and fingers and the bottom right is the baby upside down sitting cross legged. (I think he/she is practicing her/his meditation)
The baby's size is right where it should be and the hearbeat is strong. So far everything is going great!

Introducing the Snoogle Pillow

I recently noticed I was having a little trouble being able to fall asleep. Now keep in mind I can still fall asleep faster than the average person but If you know me well, you know that I have always been able to fall asleep at a moments notice and it is one of my favorite pastimes so needless to say I was a little troubled by the thought of not being able to sleep. While thinking about this I remembered that one of the first recommendations I received from Allison (thank you Ali) was the Snoogle Pillow. Honestly, I didn’t see the appeal in it and for a pillow it was a little pricey but I thought I would give it a shot anyways.
Yesterday after a long day and having an appointment after work I arrived home around 8:30pm. I was thoroughly excited to see that my Snoogle had arrived and was waiting for me to try it out. Exhausted, I thought about waiting until the next day to open the box and check it out but I decided I would just open it since it was right in front of me.
I have to say that this pillow is one of the greatest inventions ever!!! Pregnant of not, I will forever use my Snoogle!!

Thank you Billy!

For those of you who have any doubt about how amazing Billy is, (I can't imagine their are any of you) I thought I would share with you everything he has been doing while I have been uselessly sick. I have always prided myself on the fact that we work so great as a team, from doing housework, yard work, running errands etc....we share everything equally. Well, for the last 2 months I have been feeling less than great and he has picked up more than his share of work. He does everything! As if working full time, taking care of the house, and exercising our dogs isn't enough he has also manages to make those constant trips to the store at night when I absolutely need pineapple (or whatever ridiculous craving I'm having). Being that this is the end of my first trimester I am hoping that I start to feel better soon and can become once again a contributing member of our household. I just wanted to take the time to recognize the wonderful husband I have.
