Well yesterday was an exhausting day for our family. I woke up feeling a little out of breath and some mild chest pain, not at all worried about it I went to work and went about my business. Around lunch time I realized that it was not getting any better and realized it was a little odd. I felt like I had sprinted up a flight of stairs when I had only been walking around the office. After work I called my OB to see if this was common with pregnancy, surprisingly she asked me to go immediately to the emergency room. Feeling like this was a little overboard I decided to trust my Dr and go to the ER.
I arrived at the hospital around 4:30 thinking I would be in and out in time for the corned beef and cabbage dinner I was truly looking forward to, that was my first mistake. The hospital was very nice but test after test became exhausting. Around 10pm I was told I have a blot clot and need to be treated with blood thinners. This means and injection every 12 hours for the next 3 months. Although I am not looking forward to giving myself injections in the stomach twice a day for 3 months I am very thankful that this was caught and is able to be treated. Luckily Baby Cummings and I are OK.
I had my first injection late last night and this morning I am off to see the Hematologist for the second one as well as a lesson on how to give myself the injections. I will keep everyone posted on how that goes.

I'm so sorry you and Billy are having to go through this. I would have loved for you to have the "perfect" pregnancy but this just proves one thing..... Since you have to work for the best things it just means your baby is going to come out "Perfect". Just remember there are alot of people out there praying for you and the little peanut and wanting you well. Take care of yourself but also allow others to care for you. Just know you are both loved!
